“He was very attentive to our interests.”

Our Cuba trip with Steve Rupert was a great adventure trip! He was an awesome guide….one reason he was very attentive to our interests and we had plenty of free time to explore on our own. Steve has an excellent reputation as we found out be checking him out on the Internet and other friends that had traveled with him. We never felt afraid, people were so very friendly, and food was excellent. Steve made us feel at ease since it is still “Tabu” for Americans to go to Cuba. Steve knew lots of the people we saw in restaurants, shops, and …

“He knew someone everywhere we went.”

Kudos to Steve Rupert! It was a great trip. Steve took us some hidden gems in old Havana, that we would never find on her own. Everything went seamlessly. He knew someone everywhere we went. I’d recommend anybody who wants to go back in time and see what Havana/Cuba is like that they go with Steve. -Julian Sanchez

“We could not have accomplished what we did without your help.”

Steve: I wanted to reach out and thank you once again for your efforts on our behalf during our time in Cuba. It was a whirlwind, and I do not believe we could have accomplished anywhere close to what we did without the benefit of your help. Since we are not going to air before May, rest assured that I will get you links to the finished product at that time. There’s no possible way I could ever forget my “Man in Havana”. Hope your homecoming was good – and that the arbitration on Friday went well. Gracias de nuevo …

“Our friends now want to go there…”

Good Morning Steve: Dan & I saw a great TV show on Ch. 8 in Tampa on Saturday evening. As you know, it was a show about Cuba which featured you in it. We caught it by chance and had some friends here who watched it with us. You looked great and did a fine job of talking about traveling in Havana. Needless to say, our friends now want to go there, so we gave them your information. It was such fun to see you on screen and being at the places you had taken us ! Steve, hopefully you …

Lauren Stillwell from Channel 2 News

Hi Steve! Welcome back!! Thank you SOOO much. Everything went great according to my crew.  They got home about 3pm yesterday afternoon with lots of stories (ones for on air, others that will stay in the newsroom!)  🙂 They were very complimentary of you and the help you gave. We’ll definitely hold onto your contact information for future trips. I so appreciate your time and willingness to work with us. Thanks again! Lauren

“Steve made it possible to better interact with locals.”

To whom it may concern: Steve Rupert made it possible for us to be in situations where we could interact with Cubans on their own turf. Except for one day, ours was not the ‘canned’ or over programmed trip that often happens with group travel. The meal our first night was a positive indication of what was to come. Finding our way to the old company town of Hershey and the Jardin nearby was a highlight as was interacting with our hostess at the bed and breakfast and with the vendors at the Saturday market on the Prado. Steve was …

“It was so remarkable, fun, inspirational and educational.”

Dear Steve, It’s been two years since our Cuban travels with you.  It was so remarkable, fun, inspirational and educational. We still talk about it often. We had so many great adventures there from visiting the dance school, meeting and spending time with awesome  Cubans in their homes , experiencing the nonstop music and dancing, mixing with artists, seeing top notch museums, theatres, and homes of famous Cuban poets and writers, in addition to visiting other towns outside of Havana, and learning about the history of this vibrant country.  We were especially thrilled with the Cuban food and we often …

“I want to commend you on your fine service.”

Steve, I want to commend you on your fine service to our Cuba travel group.  I have already recommended your organization to several of our friends.  We especially liked the way you introduced us to “everyday Cubans” who brought us into their studios and showed us their art, their music and their way of living. “We are so fortunate to have connected with you.”

Steve, I wanted to let you know that my husband and I are still talking about the trip to Cuba. We are so fortunate to have connected with you. I don’t think we could have learned more from anyone else. You did such a great job in guiding us toward the citizens. We loved being in their homes, visiting their art studios, tasting their food, and feeling their warmth. It was surprising to us as to how much they love Americans. The museums were amazing and the concerts were superb! I think we walked the entire city of Havana! We …

“Thank you for the great memories of Cuba.”

Hi Steve, I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell you again how much I enjoyed the trip to Cuba with you in 2011. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I particularly enjoyed the lodging you arranged for me in a private home. My hosts, Margarita and Victoria really made me feel welcome. We exchanged stories about our homelands and families the whole week I was there.  They taught me some Spanish and I taught them some English.  The tropical fruits they served at breakfast were delicious. The walking tours of Old Havana were memorable. …
