To whom it may concern:
Steve Rupert made it possible for us to be in situations where we could interact with Cubans on their own turf. Except for one day, ours was not the ‘canned’ or over programmed trip that often happens with group travel.
The meal our first night was a positive indication of what was to come.
Finding our way to the old company town of Hershey and the Jardin nearby was a highlight as was interacting with our hostess at the bed and breakfast and with the vendors at the Saturday market on the Prado. Steve was open to suggestions but also made ample opportunity for us see things on our own when we wished.
Visiting Cuba with Steve made it possible to better interact with locals. That is just what we wanted.
